Naples, FL : Collier woman dies in North Naples crash on Sunday, January 29th 2017

A Collier County woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash in North Naples on Sunday.

Janet Eash, 78, was traveling westbound on Vanderbilt Beach Road, approaching the intersection at Livingston Road around 7:32 a.m., when the 2008 Honda she was driving drifted across the westbound lanes and into the north shoulder of Vanderbilt Beach Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.The Honda continued west on the north shoulder and entered a dry canal bed, before traveling up the canal bed and striking a water line on the north shoulder. The car then continued west through an embankment on the east shoulder of Livingston Road, hit an electrical box and overturned, ejecting Eash.

The vehicle continued to roll west and came to a final rest facing west in the inside northbound lane of Livingston Road. Eash was pronounced dead at the scene.
