Ely Township, MI : A van and a pick up truck collided in Ely Township Tuesday on July 8, 2014

A two vehicle crash in Western Marquette County sends one person to the hospital. It happened early this evening on US-41 and County Road CP in Clarksburg in front of Harsila’s Auto Salvage.

State Police say it appeared that a minivan was making a U-turn heading west-bound when it collided with a full size pick-up truck just before 5:30. The two drivers were the only people in the vehicles. The driver of the mini-van was transported to Bell Hospital and the driver of the pick-up truck will seek his own treatment.

Ishpeming Township Fire Department, Ely Township First Responders and Michigan State Police were on the scene.
