Car clocked at 108 mph before crashing into snowbank

A Boston man was arrested in New Hampshire Tuesday after state police said he was traveling 108 mph on Interstate 95.

New Hampshire State Police said around 2 p.m., a trooper tried to stop a car traveling north at 108 mph, but refused to stop and continued traveling north at a high rate of speed.

State police said the vehicle traveled through the Portsmouth Traffic Circle then circled back onto I-95 north.

The vehicle then entered Maine and traveled off Exit 1 on I-95 and eventually crashed into a snowbank at the end of Old Dennett Road South, state police said.

The three men in the vehicle ran off on foot after the crash, and after a search of the area two of the men were found in a building at the Kittery Sewer Treatment Plant and the third was tracked down with a K9.

The driver was identified as Dorchester resident Justin Santiago, 28, and was issued a summons for reckless operation, disobeying an officer and speed.
