Raleight, NC : Grafton man, Oxford woman killed in crash on Interstate 95 on Sunday, 22nd December, 2019

A Grafton man and an Oxford woman were killed in a head-on crash Sunday on Interstate 95 in North Carolina.

Thomas Holland, 54, of Grafton and a passenger in his vehicle, Debra Anderson, 60, of Oxford, were killed when Holland’s 2018 Toyota crossed from the southbound lanes of the highway into the northbound lane, striking a Ford SUV, in Lumberton, North Carolina, according to The Associated Press.

Anderson was not wearing a seat belt. Both she and Holland died at the scene of the accident. Gail Lee, 73, of Deland, Florida, a passenger in the Ford SUV, was also killed. David Lee, also 73, of Deland suffered serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

After the crash a chain reaction involving two other vehicles resulted in four others suffering minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
