BROCKTON, MA : Brockton BAT bus collides with car in 'minor' crash on Saturday, 25th August 2018
The side of a sedan was crunched in a crash with a public bus on Belmont Street in Brockton Saturday morning.
Brockton Fire Captain Joseph Solomon said the crash “wasn’t that bad,” but two people were transported by ambulance to a Brockton hospital with minor injuries. One of the people who was injured was on the bus, Solomon said, while the other was trying to board the bus when the crash took place.
The crash took place at 7:48 a.m. in the vicinity of 351 Belmont St., Solomon said. The location is near the intersection of Belmont and Ash streets.
The bus involved is operated by the Brockton Area Transit Authority, the regional public nonprofit transportation agency, which sent a response team to the crash scene, said Ray Ledoux, administrator of the organization.
