Shawano, WI : Two women killed in a crash near Gresham on Wednesday, November, 15th 2017

Authorities have released the names of two women killed in a crash near Gresham on Wednesday.

Bernadine M. Bartz, 74, and Meta L. Bartz, 80, both of Shawano, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.

A 2009 Buick driven by Bernadine Bartz was traveling southbound on County Road A waiting to turn east onto County Road G in the town of Herman at about 2:15 p.m. Meta Bartz was a passenger in the vehicle.

According to authorities, the Buick failed to yield the right of way to a 2011 Peterbilt semi unit traveling west on County Road G and was struck by the semi.

The operator of the Peterbilt, a 56-year-old Bryant man, was not injured in the crash.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is conducting the crash investigation and crash reconstruction.
