Vancouver, WA: Two women injured two separate vehicle crashes on Interstate 5 south Vancouver on Sunday October 18 2015

Two women, ages 18 and 19, were taken to a hospital Sunday morning following two separate vehicle crashes on freeways in south Vancouver.
The first crash occurred just before 5 p.m. when a black 1963 Volkswagen Beetle driven by 18-year-old Tiffany D. Ritter of Vancouver hit a concrete barrier while taking the exit from southbound Interstate 5 to state Highway 14, according to the Washington State Patrol. Ritter had been driving too fast for the road conditions, causing her to lose control of the car, WSP said.
She sustained injuries and was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, WSP said.
About 35 minutes later, police responded to another single-vehicle crash about a mile away. WSP reported that Corinne M. Davis, 19, of Battle Ground was driving a green 1995 Mazda Protege north on I-5 near Milepost 1 when she lost control of the car and struck a concrete barrier. The crash was caused by driving too fast for road conditions, WSP said.
Davis was injured in the crash and taken to PeaceHealth Southwest, WSP said. Both women were treated and released Sunday morning, according to hospital staff.
The women received citations for speeding, according to state patrol.
