Los Angeles, CA : 1 killed, 1 injured in Eagle Rock crash on 2 Freeway on Saturday, January 21, 2017

A person was killed and another person was injured in a four-vehicle crash Saturday on the 2 Freeway at the 134 Freeway in Eagle Rock.

The crash on the southbound freeway occurred at 5:07 a.m., the California Highway Patrol reported.

It was not immediately known if the victim died at the scene or at a hospital.

Paramedics dispatched to the crash scene at 5:11 a.m. rushed one person to an area hospital, according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Scott said one person might have been ejected from a vehicle.

The 134 connections to the northbound and southbound Glendale Freeway were closed indefinitely for the crash investigation, according to the CHP.
