North Canton, OH : 29-year-old woman killed after vehicle hits pole in the Greentown area early Friday morning, January 8, 2016

A 29-year-old North Canton woman is dead following an early morning crash in which her vehicle struck a utility pole and a parked car.

Troopers with the Canton Post of the Highway Patrol say the crash happened as Sarah Ullom was driving a 2015 Kia Soul southbound on Cleveland Avenue, and traveled off the side of the roadway around 1:58 a.m.

Her vehicle came to rest near Brouse Street.

Ullom was taken to Mercy Medical Center where she later died.

Authorities say Ullom was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Neither alcohol nor drugs are expected as factors in the incident.

The crash remains under investigation.
