Galveston, TX : Motorcyclist injured in Galveston crash on Sunday, January, 26th 2018

A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital Sunday afternoon in Galveston after a collision with a pickup truck on 61st Street, police said.

Police responded to the crash involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle about 1:30 p.m. on 61st Street near Lee and Joe Jamail Bay Park. The motorcyclist was taken to John Sealy Hospital with injuries, authorities said. Only limited information about his injuries was available Sunday afternoon.

No arrests had been made in the crash, police said. The crash caused traffic to backup on 61st Street while emergency responders worked at the scene.
