Phoenix, AZ : One person dead, 3 critically injured after car hits boulder, rolls over at South Mountain Park on Thursday, December 17, 2015

Authorities say one person is dead and three others critically injured after their vehicle crashed into a boulder and rolled over at a Phoenix park.

Phoenix police say the accident occurred about 5 p.m. Thursday at South Mountain Park.

They say a car carrying four people left the roadway, hit the boulder and rolled over.

Police say the car apparently was speeding.

They say one person was pronounced dead at the scene and three others have been taken to hospitals for treatment of critical injuries.

The names of the dead and injured haven't been released.
