Salt Lake City, UT : Man killed after motorcycle struck a vehicle on I-15 in South Salt Lake Saturday October 17 2015

A man who was killed after his motorcycle struck a vehicle in South Salt Lake has been identified by police.
That Utah Highway Patrol identified 53-year-old Jefferson David Varner, of Magna, on Saturday as the victim in the fatal crash.According to UHP, Varner was riding on I-15 in heavy traffic Friday around 7:15 p.m. when he tried to change lanes to avoid a vehicle.Authorities say Varner's motorcycle hit the left rear corner of the vehicle and he was ejected.
Varner, who was not wearing a helmet, died from his injuries.
