Cotopaxi, CO : Colorado man dies in motorcycle accident on CR 27A on Sunday, 22nd March, 2020

A Colorado man died in a one-vehicle motorcycle accident on CR 27A at about 11:50 a.m. Sunday, a press release from the Colorado State Patrol said.

Fremont County Coroner Carlette Brocious identified the man as Frank Smith-Chambless, 56, from Yoder.

Alcohol and drugs are suspected as a contributing factor in the crash, the report said, and speed also might have been a factor. Brocious said the autopsy will be performed Tuesday and that Smith-Chambless was not wearing a helmet.

The CSP is investigating the accident.
