Fitchburg, MA : Rhode Island man killed in Fitchburg crash on Route 2 on Sunday, 22nd December, 2019

A 54-year-old Providence, Rhode Island man was killed in a crash on Route 2 in Fitchburg Sunday.

Massachusetts State Police said troopers were called to Route 2 westbound for a report of a crash around 5 a.m.

Troopers discovered a Ford Transit van left the roadway and crashed into a tree. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The Providence man was the only person in the van. He was taken to Leominster Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
