A woman is dead following a pedestrian crash involving a pick-up truck in Kahaluu on Wednesday morning, officials said.

First responders were called to the scene at about 5:10 a.m. near Kahekili Highway and Ahuimanu Road.

Officials said a 67-year-old man was driving eastbound on Kahekili Highway when he struck a 37-year-old pedestrian who police say appeared to have been in the roadway.

EMS said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was uninjured.
