MENOMONIE, WI : Man killed in motorcycle crash in the Dunn County on Saturday, 19th May 2018
The man killed in Saturday morning’s motorcycle crash in the Dunn County town of Dunn has been identified as Levi Thatcher, 25, of rural Menomonie.
According to the Dunn County sheriff’s office:
Authorities received a report of a missing motorcyclist at about 4:30 a.m. Saturday. Thatcher was not at his residence and his motorcycle was gone.
At 5:05 a.m., authorities received a report of a motorcycle crash at the intersection of Highway C and 290th Ave. in the town of Dunn. Authorities arrived at the scene and found Thatcher’s body, who authorities believe was ejected from his 2009 Harley-Davidson after entering a ditch.
Thatcher was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and speed appears to be a factor in the crash.
The Dunn County medical examiner’s office pronounced the Thatcher dead at the scene.
