Orange County , FL : 25 - Years old Pedestrain hit and killed by SUV while attempting to cross mid block on Wednesday ,February 25th 2015

A pedestrian died after she was hit by an SUV in the Pine Hills area of Orange County.

It happened near Pine Hills Road and Silver Star Road Wednesday evening.

Tonya Williams, 25, was hit while she was trying to cross the street.

Witnesses told Florida Highway Patrol troopers that it seemed Williams wasn't paying attention and was attempting to cross mid-block when the SUV hit her.

She was pronounced dead at a hospital. No word yet if the driver will be given a citation.
