DURHAM, ME : A driver was killed and her passenger seriously injured in a head-on collision in Durham on Monday, October, 16th 2017

Police say a driver was killed and her passenger seriously injured in a head-on collision in Durham, Maine.

Lt. Glenn Holt of the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department tells the Times Record that the car in which the motorist died appeared to have crossed the center line.

The collision on Route 136 was reported at 11:41 a.m. Monday.

Holt said the driver of a pickup also involved in the collision sustained cuts and bruises, and was treated at the scene. Identities weren’t immediately released.

Maine State Police are reconstructing the crash as part of the investigation.
