Cumberland ,RI :Woonsocket man killed in truck rollover on Interstate 295 on Friday ,July 17th 2015

State police have identified a tow-truck driver killed in a rollover crash on Friday as a 56-year-old Woonsocket man.

Police said Michael Morin was fatally injured when his three-axle truck went out of control and overturned as he tried to pass another truck. The crash happened on Interstate 295 South in Cumberland at about 2 p.m. Friday.

Police said the right front tire on Morin's truck struck the left rear of a trailer being towed by a dump truck. The other truck driver, 36-year-old Robert Choiniere of Lincoln, wasn't injured.

Police closed the southbound side of the highway for three hours Friday afternoon to clear up after the crash.
