Blair, NE : 1 injured in N-91 accident Sunday morning on Sunday, 9th October 2016
One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident Sunday morning on state Highway 91, just west of County Road 19, Blair.
At approximately 8:15 a.m., a black Chevrolet Malibu was westbound on state Highway 91 when it hit an eastbound hay trailer pulled by a pickup truck, Sgt. Aaron Brensel of the Washington County Sheriff's Office said.
The sedan left the road and landed in a bean field on the south side of the highway. Its airbags deployed.
Blair Volunteer Fire and Rescue members used the Jaws of Life to extricate the driver, who was the car's only occupant. The driver was transported by Blair Rescue to Memorial Community Hospital & Health System in Blair. Brensel said he couldn't confirm details of the injuries.
The two occupants in the truck were uninjured.
Brensel said at the scene that preliminary investigation shows the car possibly crossed the highway's center line and struck the trailer.
All parties appeared to be wearing seat belts. Alcohol use is not a suspected factor in the accident, Brensel said.
