ATLANTA, GA : 27-year-old motorcyclist dies in Marietta crash on Wednesday, 13th March 2024

A 27-year-old motorcyclist died Wednesday morning after hitting a sports car in Marietta, Cobb County police said.

Around 7:40 a.m., Trevion Oglesby was driving a Honda CBR500R northbound on Holly Springs Road. Police believe he tried to use the center lane to pass a turning car but lost control of his motorcycle, swerving into the southbound lane before the road’s intersection with David Road.

A Porsche 911 driving in that lane served to avoid Oglesby, but the motorcyclist hit the car’s front left side. Oglesby was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital by ambulance, where he later died.

The Porsche’s driver wasn’t injured.
