Fort Wayne, IN : Seven people injured in T-bone crash with minivan early Thursday, May 19, 2016
Seven people who occupied a passenger car that ran a red light and slammed into a minivan were hospitalized early Thursday, including a child who was critically hurt, according to police.
Police and medics were called around 8 a.m. to the intersection of Anthony Boulevard and Creighton Avenue on a report of a two-vehicle crash there. Crews arrived to find a red passenger car with heavy damage and a minivan just down the road.
Investigators said the car – a Mercury Tracer – was headed west on Creighton when it ran a red light and T-boned a Pontiac Montana minivan.
Police said there could have been as many as seven people – two adults and five children – in the Tracer, all of whom were transferred to a local hospital. One of the children was critically injured.
The driver of the minivan was not injured.
The street was closed while police investigated and cleaned the wreckage.
