Montville Township, OH : 16-year-old girl killed, 3 others injured in head-on crash Sunday night in Medina County on August 3, 2014
A teenage girl is dead and three other people are seriously injured after a head-on crash Sunday night in Medina County.
According to police, Jeremy Goodrich, 26, of Rittman was traveling south about 10-20 p.m. in a Jeep Grand Cherokee on River Styx Road when he went left of center and struck another vehicle.
The driver of the other vehicle, a Plymouth Acclaim, suffered life-threatening injuries and died at the scene.
She was Katherine Babak, 16, of Bath Township.
Her two passengers -- Valerie Snyder, 15, of Cuyahoga Falls, and Earlena Couch, 16 of Montville Township -- suffered severe injuries and were taken by LifeFlight to MetroHealth Medical Center.
Their conditions were not available Monday.
Goodrich also suffered serious injuries and was taken by LifeFlight to MetroHealth. He was in fair condition Monday afternoon.
The road was closed for four hours while rescue squads worked to free the victims and police investigated the crash.
The crash remains under investigation, and no one has been charged.
Responding to the scene were Montville police, Medina Fire Department, Life Support Team and the Sharon Township Fire Department.
