A motorist was killed in a one-car accident on Missouri Highway 367 south of North Lindbergh Boulevard Thursday morning, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.

The northbound 2006 Dodge Charger left the roadway on a turn near a creek at 4:10 a.m., crashed through a guardrail, overturned and went down an embankment. The driver, Troy V. Green, 47, of the Spanish Lake area, was

thrown from the car and pronounced dead at the scene.

Green's car also struck a power pole, the patrol said. Ameren reported that about 800 customers lost power, but service was restored by midday.
