Kosciusko County, IN : 3 hurt in collision on Kosciusko County road on Thursday, 27th February, 2020

Three people were hurt, one critically, in a two-vehicle crash on a Kosciusko County road Thursday night, the county sheriff's department said today.

It said emergency crews were dispatched shortly before 6 p.m. to County Road 800 North, near County Road 550 East.

An eastbound vehicle driven by Amy Pavel, 23, of North Webster, lost control on the ice-covered road, the sheriff's department said, went left of center and collided with a westbound vehicle driven by Amy Hill, 45, of North Webster.

Both drivers needed to be removed from their vehicles, the sheriff's department said. Hill and a 7-year-old girl in her back seat were taken to Parkview Warsaw with facial and neck injuries. Pavel was taken to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne in critical condition.

The collision remains under investigation, the sheriff's department said.
