WOOSTER, OH : A 61-year-old Cleveland-area motorcyclist was killed on Sunday, August 13, 2017

A 61-year-old Cleveland-area motorcyclist was killed Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash southwest of Wooster in Wayne County.

Lloyd Mowrer of Brookpark was driving a Yamaha XVS 1100 motorcycle north on state Route 3 in Plain Township when his vehicle was struck by a Dodge Dakota pickup driven by Amy Dickman, 36, of Holmesville, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.

Dickman had been traveling south on state Route 3 when she attempted a left turn onto Millbrook Road, which put her into the northbound path of Mowrer, according to state troopers. Mowrer, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected off the motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dickman had minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
