Three victims injured following motor vehicle collision with police cruiser

Three victims, including a police officer, were taken to area hospitals following a car crash in Middleborough Monday evening, a firefighter said. The crash occurred at about 4:30 p.m. at 400 Wareham St. , said Middleborough firefighter Mike Allie. Two of the victims were in critical condition and were taken to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, he said.
