Waterford,WI : Mukwonago man killed in Town of Waterford crash on September, Saturday 30th 2017
A 41-year-old Mukwonago man was killed early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 83 near Hill Valley Drive, according to Waterford police.
Police and first responders were dispatched to the scene at about 1:11 a.m. Saturday after a nearby resident, who had just arrived home, reportedly heard the crash and called authorities after he saw a large amount of debris and tracks leaving the roadway.
Upon arrival, officers observed a silver Kia Forte several yards off the roadway. The car had sustained heavy damage to all areas, indicating the vehicle and rolled several times, according to a Police Department press release.
Officers then located Thomas C. Fuchs, who had been ejected from the vehicle, was unresponsive and not breathing.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation. The Racine County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol and Tichigan Volunteer Fire Company assisted the Waterford Police Department at the scene.
According to his obituary from Miller-Reesman Funeral Home in Union Grove, Fuchs had managed Target and Kohl’s stores in North Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
He was born in North Dakota and and is survived by three children, his parents and other family members.
Visitation is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home, 620 15th Ave. (Highway 11). A memorial service is set to begin at 7 p.m.
