Nashville, TN : Man killed in motorcycle crash in Hermitage on Wednesday night, November 16, 2016

A man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Hermitage late Wednesday night.

Gary Belcher, 51, lost control and hit a guardrail at the intersection of Tulip Grove Road and Scotts Creek Parkway at 11:30 p.m., according to police.

Belcher was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene.

Police said speed may have played a role in the crash. No other vehicles were involved.

Officials are conducting toxicology testing to see if alcohol or drugs were involved.
