SIMSBURY, CT : Driver strikes utility pole home in Simsbury on Sunday, 17th March 2024

A person was transported to the hospital after crashing into a utility pole and a house in Simsbury Sunday morning.

Police say the crash happened at the intersection of Route 167 and Climax Road around 12:50 a.m.

According to officials a driver crashed through the utility pole, snapping the pole in half. The driver then struck a house causing some minor damage. The local fire department says no one in the home was displaced due to the crash.

The driver was transported to the hospital but has since been released.
