MARTIN COUNTY, FL : A 79-year-old Jensen Beach man died after a single-car crash on Saturday, June 17, 2017

A 79-year-old Jensen Beach man died after a single-car crash Saturday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Richard William Teetrick was driving through a parking lot in the 2400 block of Northwest U.S. 1, south of the Treasure Coast Square mall, when his Mercury Sable jumped a curb and struck a tree, troopers said. Investigators said Teetrick might have had a medical issue at the time he lost control of the car about 8:30 a.m.

Teetrick was pronounced dead at Martin Memorial Hospital North.

Troopers were still investigating the cause of the crash.
