Sun Valley, NV : No injures in a single vehicle rollover crash on Sun Valley Blvd. on Monday afternoon, February 2, 2015

Nevada Highway Patrol told a single vehicle rollover crash occurred on Sun Valley Blvd. at Gepford Pkwy Monday afternoon; the vehicle struck a power pole, causing downed power lines and a power outage for thousands of Sun Valley customers.

According to the NV Energy website, 1,840 customers are without power in N. Nevada.

Initial reports from NHP said no injuries occurred in the crash, the driver of the vehicle was placed under arrest, and alcohol was believed to be a factor. But -- NHP officials on site told News 4 that it has not been confirmed as to whether alcohol was a factor, and the driver was transported to a hospital with minor injuries -- not arrested.

The car involved in the crash was an SUV heading northbound -- NHP said the car locked up and crossed traffic hitting a power pole.

Southbound traffic on Sun Valley Blvd. is shut down for repairs.
