SEMINOLE, FL : Two on motorcycle killed in Seminole Boulevard crash on Saturday, July 1, 2017
A 40-year-old man and 24-year-old woman riding a motorcycle were killed Saturday night after a car pulled out in front of them.
The Florida Highway Patrol has not identified the Bradenton pair pending notification to family members.
About 9:40 p.m., Daniel Thomas McLaughlin, 66, was driving a 2015 Volkswagen Golf from 114th Avenue N across the northbound lanes of Seminole Boulevard, according to the patrol. At the same time, the man was driving the motorcycle north in the center lane of Seminole Boulevard approaching 114th Avenue N with the woman as his passenger.
The front left side of McLaughlin's car collided with the front of the motorcycle, troopers said. Both vehicles came to rest in the center median.
The motocyclists, who were both wearing helmets, were rushed to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, where they died from their injuries, troopers said. McLaughlin, of Largo, was taken to Largo Medical Center with minor injuries.
