Phoenix, AZ : Five people were injured in a serious accident on Interstate 10 near University on Tuesday night, June 17, 2014

Emergency crews rushed five people to area hospitals after a crash on Interstate 10 near 32nd Street.

DPS officers got the call of the accident just before 9:15 p.m. Tuesday evening. When they arrived they found at least one person ejected from the vehicle.

Interstate 10 traffic has been restricted for westbound traffic near 32nd Street while they investigate the crash.

Officials have not released further information on the condition of the patients or the cause of the accident.
