A 19-year-old New Carlisle teen, and another Ohioan were killed in a single-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning in Kentucky.
It happened just before 2 a.m. on Interstate 71 at the 39-mile marker in the northbound lanes.
The preliminary investigation shows that the driver, Rebecca Horsley, 21 of Columbus, was travelling on I-71 when the car went off of the right side of the road and overturned, according to a press release from the Kentucky State Police Department.
Ashton Hepburn, 19, of New Carlisle, Ohio, and Nikki Vicory, 29 of Lakeview, Ohio were not wearing their seat belts and were ejected from the vehicle. They were later pronounced dead at the scene.
Horsley was transported to Carroll County Hospital before being transported to The University of Cincinnati Hospital, according to the release.
The crash remains under investigation.
