Johnstown, PA : A Nanty Glo woman died on Sunday, August 6, 2017

A Nanty Glo woman died Sunday afternoon from injuries she sustained in a motorcycle crash, Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees said Monday.

Rayna Swartz, 24, was traveling south just before 3 p.m. Sunday on state Route 53 in Portage Township, Cambria County, when she lost control of her 2015 Yamaha motorcycle while rounding a curve.

Swartz struck a guardrail and was thrown from her motorcycle. She was taken by Portage Area Ambulance Association personnel to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, where she died in the emergency room at 4:11 p.m.

Lees said the cause of Swartz's death was multiple blunt-force trauma. He ruled her death an accident.

Swartz was wearing a helmet when she crashed, Lees said.
