A family got an unwanted guest after a truck crashed into the back of their home.

It happened sometime late Saturday night in the 900-block of Somerset Lane in Jonesboro.

According to an officer on the scene, the truck, driven by 21-year-old Christopher Wilson, ran through a fence and crashed through the home's backyard and hit the house.

The incident report stated the passenger door was near a wall and the awning was on top of the vehicle.

Police approached Wilson sitting in a chair next to the truck, where they say he had "very slurred speech and a strong odor of intoxicants."

Wilson was treated for injuries at St. Bernards Medical Center, but it's unclear how serious he was hurt.

After Wilson was discharged from the hospital, he was arrested and taken to the Craighead County Jail.

He faced multiple charges including DWI, careless and prohibited driving, and no proof of liability insurance.

Wilson was held on a $1,570 surety bond and a 6 hour intoxication hold.

According to police, no one inside the home was injured.

Photos from the scene show damage to the back of the home and inside the home, where several kitchen drawers and cabinet doors were forced open due to the force of the crash.

It is unclear why the driver crashed the truck into the home.
