MECKLENBURG COUNTY, NC : 2 hurt in I-485 crash on Thursday, 29th August 2024

A section of the Interstate 485 Outer Loop was closed due to a crash in east Charlotte, officials said.
According to NCDOT, the crash happened a little after 8 a.m. on the Outer Loop between Exit 41 for North Carolina 24/Albemarle Road and Harrisburg Road, which is Exit 39.
All three lanes of the Outer Loop were closed for about an hour. The road reopened around 9 a.m., but delays are likely as traffic slowly makes its way past the crash location.
