Park Rapids, MN : A Sebeka teenager was killed in a head-on collision on Monday, July 10, 2017

A Sebeka teenager was killed Monday morning in a head-on collision with a semi on Highway 71 at Redeye, between Sebeka and Menahga.

Whitney Rae Pajari, 17, was driving a 1992 Pontiac Bonneville, according to the State Patrol.

The driver of the 2003 Freightliner Conventional semi tractor-trailer rig was Dale D. Bain, 48, of Wadena. He suffered non life-threatening injuries in the crash. Family members said Bain is Pajari's uncle.

The northbound Pontiac crossed the centerline and struck the southbound Freightliner head on, according to the State Patrol.

The crash was reported at 10:51 a.m. Monday on dry two-lane blacktop at the intersection of Highway 71 and County Road 13.

Assisting at the scene were Tri-County Ambulance, the Sebeka Fire Department, the DNR and the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
