Milwaukee,WI : Motorcyclist injured in crash Saturday night after a motorcycle crash U.S 45 on May 31 2014.

A man was hospitalized with severe head injuries Saturday night after a motorcycle crash on northbound U.S. 45 near Watertown Plank Road, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office.

The motorcycle operator was traveling north on U.S. 45 at 5:46 p.m. when he crashed into a construction barrel, a sheriff's spokeswoman said. The office had not received an update on the man's condition Saturday night and would not yet release any identifying information.

Deputies closed two lanes of U.S. 45 for several hours to investigate the crash. The lanes reopened at 10:46 p.m.
