DeKalb County, GA : Auburn woman hurt in DeKalb crash on Sunday, 9th December 2018
An Auburn woman was injured Sunday night when her car failed to negotiate a curve on a DeKalb County road and struck a tree, the county sheriff's department said today.
Tara B. Woodard, 30, was pinned in the vehicle following the 9:55 p.m. crash and was flown to an area hospital with chest and back injuries, the sheriff's department said in a statement.
It said Woodard was driving west in the 3000 block of County Road 36 when the vehicle went left of center and drove off the roadway before striking the tree.
Woodard was not wearing a seat belt, police said.
They said alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
