Fargo, ND :Mayville teen hurt in I-29 crash in Fargo on Monday, July 6th 2015
A Mayville, N.D., teenager was injured when he sideswiped a semi as he tried to merge onto Interstate 29 in Fargo at about noon Monday.The 16-year-old, who wasn't identified by the North Dakota Highway Patrol, was driving a Jeep Wrangler, merging onto southbound I-29 from the 13th Avenue South exit in Fargo. According to the patrol, the teen "misjudged which lane" the oncoming Freightliner was in and sideswiped the semi, driven by Daniel Nelson, 25, of Moorhead.The teen driver was taken to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, where he was treated and released for minor injuries. Nelson was not hurt.The teen driver was cited with failure to yield.Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
