A Sugar Creek woman was killed Wednesday in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Cass County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol identified the woman as 52-year-old Maria Bachtel.

The wreck occurred about 1 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Missouri 58 and Route CC.

Barchtel's car failed to stop at a stop sign and was hit on the driver's side by a pickup truck driven by a 77-year-old Blue Springs man, according to the patrol's report.
