Vail Pass, CO : I-70 semi crash sends beer spilling across roadway; westbound lanes reopened at Vail Pass on Tuesday, 28th January, 2020

Westbound lanes of Interstate 70 have been reopened at Vail Pass after a semitrailer crash sent cases of beer spilling along the mountain roadway, the Colorado Department of Transportation said.

The highway was closed until around 2 p.m., the Colorado State Patrol tweeted. Drivers were instructed to avoid the area and expect delays.

Pictures from the transportation department show the trailer spilling its contents onto the side of the snowy highway. Some of the brown cases show “Miller Lite” emblazoned on the side.
