San Antonio ,TX : Elderly woman struck by car at St. Mary's and Pereida streets on Wednesday ,July 1st 2015

An elderly woman is struck by a car, and police say the woman driving was fleeing from her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend.

It happened Wednesday around 2:30 p.m. at St. Mary's and Pereida streets in downtown San Antonio.

Police say the ex-girlfriend asked her ex-boyfriend to take her car to a repair shop. He then asked his current girlfriend to do the job.

When the ex-girlfriend found out the new girlfriend was driving the car, she got into another car, spotted her car and the ex-girlfriend and began a chase. During the chase, the current girlfriend hit the 83-year-old woman as well as two parked cars.

She then jumped out of the car and fled the scene. Police say she was later picked up by the boyfriend who was driving a truck.

The elderly woman is now at a hospital being treated for a severe leg injury, and police are looking for the couple. They plan to charge the current girlfriend with failure to stop and render aid.
