LANSING, MI : Police release ID of Lansing man killed in crash on Oakland Avenue near Cleo Street on Thursday, 11th July 2019

Police have released the name of a Lansing man killed in a crash early Thursday.

Davin Villarreal, 37, died in a single-vehicle crash on Oakland Avenue near Cleo Street at about 3 a.m. Thursday.

Police believe speed was a factor in the crash, Public Information Director Robert Merritt said. The investigation remains ongoing.

The street was closed for about three hours Thursday while police investigated and cleaned up.
