Yakima, WA : Three injured in head-on collision near White Pass on Friday September 2 2016
Three people were injured in a head-on collision near White Pass on Friday morning, the Washington State Patrol reported.
Sherrie A. Moorehead, 43, of Troy, Mont., was driving west on U.S. Highway 12 about 35 miles west of Naches around 10:45 a.m. when she failed to negotiate a curve in the road, according to a State Patrol news release. Her 2006 Hummer crossed the center line and struck an eastbound 2014 Dodge Ram pickup head-on, the release said.
Moorehead and the truck’s occupants, John H. McCulloch, 69, and Carol A. McCulloch, 76, both of Tacoma, were taken to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. Moorehead was treated and released, a nursing supervisor said, but no information was available on the conditions of the McCullochs.
Troopers said intoxicants were not a factor in the accident, and everyone involved was wearing a seat belt. Both vehicles were totaled, the release said.
