St. Johns County, FL : Man killed in wreck on SR 207 on Wednesday, 29th January, 2020

The Florida Highway Patrol released an initial report on the fatal wreck that took place Wednesday on State Road 207 near Cypress Links Boulevard.

Joshua Aaron Budd, 19, of Hastings, was killed in the wreck that took place just before 11 a.m.

According to the FHP report, Budd was driving a 2005 GMC Yukon southbound on S.R. 207. The report says, “For reasons still under investigation, vehicle 1 (Budd) traveled across the median and into the outside lane of northbound State Road 207.”

His vehicle hit the front of an oncoming vehicle. The driver in the other vehicle, Ryan Willette, 44, of Fort McCoy, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Flagler Hospital.

A third vehicle suffered damage from the debris of the collision but the driver was not injured.

The wreck forced the shutdown of travel lanes for several hours Wednesday.
