WICHITA, KS : Augusta twins critically injured in crash released from hospital on Wednesday, 7th August 2024

Seven-year-old twin sisters, critically hurt in a crash in Derby two weeks ago, are continuing their recoveries at home in Augusta after being released from a Wichita hospital.

While the hospital release is progress worth celebrating for the family, there’s a long road toward recovery ahead for Abby and Clare Bourm. The family said it’s ready for the next chapter.

Ann Boum is thankful all of her children are alive as she relives the moment their vehicle was struck from behind at a Derby stoplight.

“I just remember thinking like, I was just in shock. I cannot believe this was happening,” Ann said.
