The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating following a deadly crash in Berkeley County.
Authorities say Sunday morning just before 3am, Barry Jennings Bass, 28, of Moncks Corner, was traveling South on Old Highway 52 when his Ford F 250 truck ran off the right side of the roadway. He then overcorrected and ran off the left side and struck several trees.
We're told he was trapped in the vehicle and was removed by the fire department. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
His death was ruled accidental and was investigated by The Coroner's Office and the S C Highway Patrol.
He was not wearing a seatbelt.
